Virginians to Unify Troy State Campuses

ATLANTA Hambright, Calgano & Downing has added Troy State University as a client, the shop said.

The Virginia Beach, Va., agency said it bested finalists including Lewis Advertising in Birmingham, Ala., in a review that originally involved 23 shops. HCD also said it would immediately begin redesigning the Troy, Ala., institution’s Web site and marketing the university’s participation in the Sun Belt Conference’s college football schedule this fall.

Jack Hawkins, chancellor at TSU, said that the goal of a new ad campaign would be the unification of TSU’s multiple locations and diverse educational platforms. The effort, referred to as “One Great University,” will integrate all on-campus, regional and global locations and digital program delivery services, Hawkins said.

TSU has established 57 sites in 17 states and 10 foreign countries, the client said. The school was founded in 1887 and offers associate, bachelor’s, master’s and education specialist degrees.

HCD noted that its first work for TSU would include redeveloping its collateral and electronic marketing materials with its new brand positioning.

Annual billings were not disclosed.
