CHICAGO Robert S. Vincent, who once managed the Midwest advertising region for Reader’s Digest and ran his own publishing company, died last week after battling cancer. He was 67.

Vincent was born in Binghamton, N.Y., and was raised in Kennilworth, Ill. He started at Reader’s Digest‘s Pleasantville, N.Y., headquarters and worked in New York before moving to Detroit to manage the advertising office there. After leaving the publication, Vincent in 1995 founded the Quarton Group, which published custom magazines for organizations such as the National Basketball Association and Professional Golfers’ Association.
