Vegas, Bahamas Getaways Agree on SKG

LOS ANGELES Independent Schadler Kramer Group has added two properties to its client portfolio, the Luxor Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and the Cable Beach Resorts in Nassau, the Bahamas, according to the agency, which estimated the combined billings in “the high seven figures.”

For Luxor, SKG will handle brand identity, creative development, strategic planning and research, media planning and buying, and affiliate partnership development, according to the Las Vegas shop.

Felix Rappaport, president and chief operating officer of Luxor Las Vegas, said in a statement that he was “very familiar” with SKG’s work and said “their expertise in developing creative and compelling marketing programs in the destination resort industry is unsurpassed.”

SKG managing partner John Schadler called it “a major win for all of us at SKG,” in a statement.

The Cable Beach Resorts win involves creative, media duties, and strategic planning and research, according to the agency. The resort itself includes the Raddison Cable Beach, Nassau Beach Hotel, and Wyndham Resort & Crystal Palace Casino, totaling some 1,941 guest rooms and suites.

The agency said that Cable Beach Resorts is being transformed into a $1.6 billion entity to be known as Baha Mar, a joint venture of Baha Mar Resorts, Harrah’s Entertainment and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, thus becoming the biggest resort in the Caribbean.

Luxor spent $3 million and Cable Beach less than $500,000 advertising in 2005, per Nielsen Monitor Plus.
