ATLANTA Zimmerman Partners has acquired the advertising account of Value City department stores without a review, the shop said.

Billings were not disclosed, but Value City spent about $50 million on advertising last year and about $10 million during the first quarter of this year, according to TNS Media Intelligence. Zimmerman will be compensated with a fee and bonuses based on increased sales at the company’s stores.

MDC Partners’ Cliff Freeman and Partners in New York previously held the account, which it won in a review in 2002.
