Upper Execs Shift at JWT, O&M

Two of Ford Motor Co.’s ad agencies–J. Walter Thompson and Ogilvy & Mather–are making top-level personnel changes.
Stephen Kuehn, worldwide financial director on the Ford account at JWT, has been named regional financial director for J. Walter Thompson’s North American operations.
Kuehn, who has been with JWT for five years, will remain in Detroit, overseeing the network’s North American financial matters. He will report to JWT president Peter Schweitzer.
Kuehn takes over for Michael Gross, who was recently promoted to chief operating officer at JWT, New York. Kuehn’s successor on Ford has not yet been named, said a JWT representative.
Meanwhile, Carmen Maria Guzman has been promoted to senior partner, media director, at Ogilvy & Mather, Dearborn, Mich. She succeeds Sue Carey, who left the agency.
Guzman will oversee traditional and nontraditional media on all of the shop’s accounts. Previously she was a partner and associate media director responsible for Ford Customer Service Division.
Guzman joined O&M from the agency’s Miami office, where she was regional media director for Latin America on IBM and Kodak.
