NEW YORK Sean Cunningham is leaving his post as executive vice president, managing director at Interpublic Group’s Universal-McCann to become president and chief executive officer of the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau.

Cunningham, 42, will start in his new post in mid-June. He succeeds Joe Ostrow, who is stepping down to become a consultant to the New York-based CAB, which provides marketing support to the cable industry. Ostrow had been president of CAB since 1994. No replacement for Cunningham has been named, a UM representative said.
