NEW YORK Alan Schulman has joined Universal McCann as svp, creative director, a new position, the agency said.

Considered a media and entertainment specialist, Schulman joins from Futurebrand, a corporate identity firm owned by Interpublic Group, the parent of Universal McCann.

Schulman reports to Robin Kent, worldwide chairman and CEO of Universal McCann, who said in a statement, “Incorporating a digital, creative expertise to our core media services signifies the evolution of the communications landscape, and our role within it.
