Universal McCann has created a new vp-level position to help unify planning and buying opportunities for all Sony Corp. of America divisions.

Oliver Maletz, svp, multinational accounts director at Universal McCann, has been named to the new post, but his exact title is not yet finalized. He will report to George Hayes, evp, director of AOR accounts.

Maletz’s mission will be to look for integration and cross-media deal opportunities relevant to all four divisions of Sony Corp.
