NEW YORK Unilever has shifted U.S. creative duties on its Vaseline Intensive Care brand from Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson to WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson, sources said.

Measured media spending on the brand exceeded $20 million last year, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The shift between New York shops occurred without a review, according to sources. McCann retained the brand in 2003 after a roster shop shootout that also involved Publicis Groupe-backed Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York.
