Unilever Foods Consolidates at Mosaica

NEW YORK Young & Rubicam’s Mosaica here has been awarded the business of Unilever Foods North America following a Hispanic agency review that began last October.

Mosaica, which has been handling Unilever’s Hellmann’s and Shedd’s Spread Country Crock brands since 2002, assumed responsibility for the company’s Knorr and Ragu brands.

Del Rivero Messianu DDB in Miami has handled Knorr’s Hispanic advertising since 2001; Mendoza Dillon & Asociados of Irvine, Calif., has been responsible for Ragu since 2002.

The consolidated Unilever Foods ad account at Mosaica became effective last month and encompasses strategic planning, creative development, production and media planning. WPP Group’s Mindshare will continue to conduct media buying for all four brands.

“We will be in the preliminary planning process in the next few weeks when [media] budgets will be determined,” said Fernando Fernandez, senior vice president and general manager at Mosaica. “But marketing efforts will be increased from prior years.”
