There’s no longer any question: Climate change will have deadly and irreversible impacts on the world.

The only thing left to wonder about is this: When will we—the public, governments, brands and agencies whose businesses have contributed to global warming—take the necessary actions in order to mitigate and adapt to the myriad challenges of a hotter world?

That’s the takeaway from the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The IPCC released the second in a series of three reports this week outlining the depths of the catastrophe that is already happening, and what’s likely to come.
