BOSTON Consumer electronics retailer Tweeter said it has hired independent shop Partners + Simons as its new creative agency after splitting with McCarthy Mambro Bertino in September.

The Canton, Mass.-based client has spent $12-15 million annually on measured media, but intends to spend $50 million next year on all marketing efforts, including advertising, public relations and direct response, said Mark Richardson, svp of marketing and chief brand officer at Tweeter.

Boston-based P+S “is currently working with us on a broadcast campaign that will be unveiled next month,” said Richardson.
