Donald Trump aired a 30-second ad in the first quarter of the Super Bowl featuring Alice Johnson, who was granted clemency in 2018 after pressure from celebrity Kim Kardashian West.
The Super Bowl ad from Trump’s re-election committee featured Johnson expressing gratitude for her release in news interviews. Johnson had been put in prison, along with 15 others, for her part in a cocaine distribution ring.
