NEW YORK — Steven Marrs, president and chief operating officer of Tribal DDB North America, has resigned, a company representative confirmed Thursday. His resignation coincides with the layoff of 12 staffers, or about three percent of the worldwide staff, in the i-shop’s New York headquarters.
“Due to the overall soft economy in our industry and particularly in New York, we had to make cuts necessary to meet our current business projections for 2002,” the representative said.
