Treffiletti to Join Real Branding

NEW YORK Former Carat Fusion executive Cory Treffiletti said he accepted a position at independent interactive agency Real Branding. He begins work at the San Francisco shop at the end of August.

Treffiletti, 33, left Carat Fusion, where he was senior vice president and engagement architect and a well-known advocate of advertisers embracing user-generated content. Since then, he has consulted for Web companies, including online video enabler Klipmart, which was bought by DoubleClick last month.

At Real Branding, Treffiletti will be vice president of media services. The shop provides both creative and media services for clients that include Corona, Red Lobster and Wells Fargo. He will relocate to San Francisco and report to CEO Steve Raizes.

“We believe that all-star talent is the key to attracting and retaining tier-one clients and is ultimately the most viable, enduring and profitable business approach for us,” said Real Branding principal and founder Mark Silva in an e-mail message.
