Trailer Mash

'X-Men First Class' and eight other new releases in one two-minute video

X marks the spot this weekend, as X-Men: First Class storms into theaters, ready to kick some Hangover II ass, following the latter's box-office victory last weekend—to the tune of $100 million, over Kung Fu Panda 2's $60 million and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides's $50 million.

See the first video below for our weekly trailer mashup—in this case, X-Men (the only new film in wide release this weekend) along with eight indie pictures in limited release. The indies are:

Beautiful Boy. A drama starring Michael Sheen and Maria Bello, who play a married couple whose college-age son goes on a shooting spree, killing several people and then himself.

Beginners. A drama that tells the story of Oliver (Ewan McGregor), whose 75-year-old father Hal (Christopher Plummer) makes two stunning revelations: that he is gay and gravely ill.

Film Socialisme. Directed by Jean Luc Godard. Just read the Wikipedia entry.

The Last Mountain. A documentary about a coal-mining corporation and a tiny community vying for the last great mountain in Appalachia.

Love, Wedding, Marriage. A romantic comedy starring Mandy Moore and Kellan Lutz, and directed by Dermot Mulroney. Moore, a happily newlywed marriage counselor, has to re-evaluate when she finds out her parents are getting divorced.

Mr. Nice. A crime drama starring Rhys Ifans, Crispin Glover and Chloë Sevigny that tells the story of Howard Marks, a notorious Welsh drug smuggler.

Rejoice and Shout. A documentary about gospel music's 200-year history.

Submarine. A coming-of-age comedy-drama from England starring Craig Roberts, Yasmin Paige, Sally Hawkins and Paddy Considine.
