Tracy-Locke Exes Plan Reunion

The title of a new book on the history of the Tracy-Locke advertising agency in Dallas says it all: Eighty-three Years and No Longer Counting.
The name was dropped last year when Omnicom reshuffled its DDB Needham operations in Dallas, shifting T-L’s promotions work into a new company, TLPartnership.
The numerous ex-T-L staffers, including those who formed new shops or left advertising altogether, however, keep the memory of the influential agency alive through periodic reunions. This week is the third such get-together, with invitations extended to any former employee, whether holding a gold watch or a single pay stub.
The Sept. 20 gathering at the Lakewood Country Club in Dallas will feature door prizes and souvenirs (including the book). Displays of vintage T-L work and memorabilia will also be shown. Proceeds will be used to establish a scholarship fund in late chairman Morris Hite’s name at the University of Texas at Dallas.
