The title of a new book on the history of the Tracy-Locke advertising agency in Dallas says it all: Eighty-three Years and No Longer Counting.
The name was dropped last year when Omnicom reshuffled its DDB Needham operations in Dallas, shifting T-L’s promotions work into a new company, TLPartnership.
The numerous ex-T-L staffers, including those who formed new shops or left advertising altogether, however, keep the memory of the influential agency alive through periodic reunions. This week is the third such get-together, with invitations extended to any former employee, whether holding a gold watch or a single pay stub.
The Sept.
