NEW YORK Longtime advertising executive Brian Tierney has left the Philadelphia public relations agency he opened in January to become vice chairman of the board of directors of Advanta Corp., an issuer of credit cards to small businesses.
Tierney’s shop, T2 Group, had handled a number of projects for Advanta in conjunction with his eponymous agency, Tierney Communications in Philadelphia, which he founded in 1989. Tierney cut ties with that shop just prior to his new venture.
