Grey has tapped Jon athan Rodgers as creative leader for its Thunder Grey unit, which handles Aetna, Cendant’s Super 8 Motels, Ethan Allen, American Plastics Council, Olive Garden, Dow Corning and Dairy Queen.

Rodgers, a writer who comes from BBDO in New York, was svp, senior creative director there on Pepsi and FedEx. He joins Thunder Grey as evp, managing partner, creative, effective July 8, and reports to chief creative officer Steve Novick.

Grey New York president Steve Blamer said Rodgers’ “experience and outstanding talent” are just what the agency has been seeking.

Following the management structures of the other seven Grey villages, Rod gers will partner with a brand planner and an account manager, Elizabeth Ellers and Warren Fischer, respectively, who are also evps, managing partners of Thunder Grey.
