In Thrifty Review, Client Executive, Agency Make Exits

Thrifty Car Rental’s $10 million review is proceeding as scheduled, despite the resignation of marketing, advertising and sales vice president Tom DeNardin and the withdrawal of one contender.
DeNardin’s exit–effective today–will have “no effect on the search,” a client representative said. His duties will be handled by president Donald Himelfarb, who has overseen the review. DeNardin, who could not be reached, left to take a job nearer his family.
Also last week, Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown in Orlando, Fla., pulled out, leaving The Richards Group, Dallas; Bernstein-Rein Advertising, Kansas City; and Cliff Freeman and Partners, New York, as contenders. YP&B declined comment. Advertising Agency Register, New York, is assisting the client. –Glen Fest
