Thompson, BrandWorks Merge 2 Arkansas Agencies Combine Operations

DALLAS-Two agencies in Fayetteville, Ark., have combined to form a new multi-unit partnership in the Northwest Arkansas market.
The owners of Thompson Earnhart & Associates and BrandWorks Consulting have agreed to merge their operations into a new company, Thompson Murray.
BrandWorks will continue to operate under its name, while the full-service ad shop will adopt the Thompson Murray name.
Co-owners Mike Thompson and Andrew Murray agreed to join forces last month, according to a company release.
A BrandWorks representative said the merger is expected to be completed in mid-May.
Murray will serve as chief executive officer, while Thompson assumes the president’s role.
Not involved is former Thompson Earnhart principal Kristen Earnhart, who departed in February to continue her advanced studies. Earnhart, now living in Austin, Texas, said last week she has sold her stock in the firm back to Thompson.
Earnhart co-founded the shop with Thompson in 1996 and directed public relations duties at the shop. Brandworks was formed two years ago, according to the agency.
“Both our companies have enjoyed tremendous success in the market by working from a brand solution mindset,” Thompson said in a statement.
Among the clients served by both shops are Procter & Gamble, Cook Communications, Arvest Asset Management, JB Hunt, the Arkansas Trucking Association, Latco and Caf Santa Fe. -Glen Fest
