When fashion company Steve Madden released its “Big Head Girls” in 1997, it quickly became one of the most recognizable aesthetic staples of the era. The original platform wrapped by 2005, but it’s making a comeback for 2021.

Created in partnership with Elite World Group (EWG), The Steve Maddenverse is a virtual experience featuring AR and 3D enhancements, Instagram filters, digitized products and even an AR shoe try-on feature. The initiative is leaning into a sense of nostalgia while showing how fashion and culture has evolved over the last couple decades to create new branding opportunities.
