SAN FRANCISCO The two Texas shops separately contending for Western Wireless’ estimated $15 million creative and media account are vying against one less competitor.

Carmichael Lynch of Minneapolis has pulled out of the review, according to client and agency representatives, citing workload concerns.

Agencies still in contention are: Publicis in Mid America in Dallas, Interpublic Group’s Temerlin McClain in Irving, Texas, and independent Hoffman/Lewis in San Francisco. The Bellevue, Wash.-based client previously worked with smaller undisclosed shops in the Pacific Northwest.
