Temerlin McClain has resigned the private label account of St. John’s Bay, severing its remaining tie to former client J.C. Penney.
Said Temerlin chief executive officer Dennis McClain: “Strategically, Penney has decided they really want to put their focus on the mother brand, the Penney brand, and the private brand focus is going to be significantly diminished. As a result of that, it made no sense to take ourselves out of the retail category for the way they were going to be supporting St.
