NEW YORK Verizon Wireless is shifting day-to-day creative duties on its $300 million-plus national account from Lowe to McCann-Erickson, even while conducting a review for the business, Lowe has told its staff.

Lowe mentioned the shift in a memo to staffers, sources said. The memo also acknowledged that the loss would result in job cuts, said sources. About 65 staffers touched the business — some will be cut, some will shift to other accounts and some will follow the account to McCann, according to a source.
