The Jennings Agency has won U.S. LEC Corp.’s advertising and public relations account.

In a credentials pitch the Chapel Hill, N.C., shop bested incumbent Lippi & Co. and Corder, Phillips & Wilson, both in Charlotte, N.C. Billings are estimated at $1-2 million.

Jennings will develop a branding campaign for the telecommunications carrier targeting midsized companies in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions.

Public relations components will include a corporate campaign and media relations for the Charlotte-based client.

Initial advertising will appear in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Philadelphia Business Journal and The Times-Picayune in New Or-leans, among other print vehicles.
