United Airlines recently launched a new low-fare air service called Ted between Washington-Dulles (Va.) and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The Chicago-based carrier said Ted would add flights to Orlando and Tampa, Fla., and Las Vegas in May. For its debut service to Fort Lauderdale, there was a gate celebration, complete with a live performance by the Pat McGee Band and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Shown here is the guitarist for the Pat McGee Band, welcoming passengers as they arrive at the Ted gate in Florida.
