TechTarget Makes an Acquisition

BOSTON Information technology media company TechTarget said it has acquired SecurityDocs.com, a source of white papers written and rated by information security professionals.

The acquisition adds more than 2,500 white papers to Needham, Mass.-based TechTarget’s library of IT reports. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TechTarget will operate SecurityDocs.com as a separate site and will expand the range of offerings, adding security-focused reports from its extensive collection of vendor-sponsored IT white papers.

With the acquisition, TechTarget said it could provide vendors of information security products and services with an additional high-traffic channel to reach targeted audiences of enterprise IT security decision-makers responsible for influencing or approving their organizations’ security-related purchases.
