LOS ANGELES Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day won the Sweepstakes Award for its Apple iPod television campaign and tied independent davidandgoliath for the Best Book honors at the 38th annual Belding Awards for Southern California advertising here last night.

TBWA\Chiat\Day’s Playa del Rey, Calif., shop, whose executive creative director Rob Schwartz served as this year’s awards chairman, also won six bowls for television: three each for Sony PlayStation ads where game weapons wreak havoc in the real world and Apple iPod spots with black silhouettes dancing against vivid color backgrounds.
