John Cooper has been named vice president and associate general counsel of Turner Sports, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting System. He will be responsible for leading the Turner Sports legal team with regards to acquisitions and production of sports programming for the network. Cooper reports directly to Louise Sams, executive vice president and general counsel of TBS Inc. Previously, Cooper was assistant general counsel for Turner Sports.
