The recent IRS announcement that it no longer has the staff to collect on back taxes seems to have had no effect on its ability to collect on this year’s tax bills. According to Nielsen NetRatings, Milpitas, Calif., at home traffic to irs.gov, the official site for the Internal Revenue Service, spiked 120 percent on April 15 as almost 476,000 unique visitors went to the site.
