Targetbase Adds Crawley as Executive CD

DALLAS Direct-marketing shop Targetbase has hired John Crawley as its first executive creative director.

Crawley, previously a freelancer, has also worked at Omnicom sibling GSD&M in Austin, Texas, and independent The Richards Group in Dallas, among other agencies.

Senior creative director Steve Johnson previously managed the shop’s creative team. Johnson will now report to Crawley, and the agency plans to hire another senior creative director, according to Targetbase representative Cynthia Edwards.

Edwards said Targetbase, which specializes in customer relationship and database marketing, realized it needed to bolster its creative to “put action into the insight” it provides for clients.
