Cindy Rakowitz has joined Tempe, Ariz.-headquartered SurfNet Media Group as chief marketing officer. As a member of the SurfNet management team, Rakowitz will oversee all marketing and branding efforts on behalf of the online media company. Previously corporate vice president of public relations and promotions at Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Playboy Enterprises, Rakowitz spearheaded the organization’s advertising and PR initiatives, as well as served as president of the Playboy modeling agency. Additionally, Rakowitz runs her own PR-marketing firm, Rak N Roll, which continues to serve entertainment, fashion, technology and public-service industry clients.
