Strawberry Banke Taps Griffin Bodi & Krause

BOSTON Leveraging its destination marketing expertise, Griffin Bodi & Krause said it has been hired for advertising chores by Strawberry Banke, a privately owned history museum in Portsmouth, N.H., that re-creates aspects of daily life in a colonial village.

The first work from the independent agency in Manchester, N.H., is a season event calendar used as part of an extensive direct mail campaign. The budget was not disclosed but is likely in the low- to mid-six figures.

The agency was hired because, “They have a strong understanding of the tourism industry in New Hampshire and can translate that knowledge and experience into compelling marketing, design, advertising and public relations,” said Stacey Brooks, client marketing and communications director.

Among the significant Strawberry Banke events for the shop to promote this year will be the opening of the Dunaway restaurant and the construction of a new visitors center, which will include a new museum store, multimedia area and museum ticketing location.
