It’s OK to love running but hate the run.

Brooks Running has long catered to elite marathoners and track athletes. But the brand has found its shoes and other products embraced by different classes of runners since Covid-19 arrived. 

According to a survey of nearly 4,000 runners conducted by RunRepeat, roughly 28.7% of runners began running during the pandemic.

Those runners are less likely to participate in races than their pre-pandemic peers (50% vs. 63%). The survey also found they’re less likely to run competitively (23.8%
