The flame may have been doused at the Winter Olympics in Nagano, but the advertising industry continues to hand out medals to its own.
At the Cleveland Advertising Association’s annual show last week, Bill Brokaw Advertising received the Best of Show award for a series of mock motivational posters produced for internal use. Copy for one reads, “Responsibility: There is no ‘I’ in responsibility. Wait, yes there is. But it’s not my fault.”
Wyse Advertising took home 15 awards, more than any other shop, followed by Brokaw with 11.
Young & Laramore emerged as the top winner at the Advertising Club of Indianapolis’ awards event on Feb. 28, taking home 41 Addys.
In Madison, Wis., Lindsay, Stone & Briggs picked up Best of Show honors for a direct mail and poster piece created on behalf of the Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society, which sponsors a chamber music festival. The work was headlined, “What Bach would be doing, if he were more fun and less dead.” The Planet Design Company took home the most hardware, with 24 Addys and a Judge’s Choice Award, followed by LSB’s 15 total Addys.
