Atkins/Lord & Lasker has taken on the$2-3 million ad account of In-Stride Shoes, a brand management company.

The San Antonio firm is relatively new, but the brands it markets are not. They include Body Glove Footwear (marine shoes), Soap Shoes (kids), Mozo (leather casuals), New Life (maternity), Cheer Athletic Footwear (cheerleaders) and Cintas (work boots and safety shoes).

“It’s one of the most pleasurable things for advertising teams to have the chance to work on consumer products, and footwear is a very dynamic category,” said agency chairman and CEO Steve Atkins.

Atkins/Lord & Lasker, also in San Antonio, will provide advertising, product packaging, public relations, promotions and other marketing support for all six specialty footwear brands. The account was awarded following a review.

The announcement of the In-Stride account win closely follows the agency’s unveiling of its new direction and name. Now Atkins/Lord & Lasker, the agency was formerly known as The Center For The Persuasive Arts. Under a new partnership structure, Atkins/Lord & Lasker has affiliate offices in Daytona Beach and Lakeland, Fla., and Washington, D.C.
