CHICAGO Gateway has awarded media duties on its $150 million account to StarLink, a unit of Starcom MediaVest Group without a review.

In addition to broadcast and print planning and placement, SMG will handle direct response and multicultural media through its Halogen Direct and StarLink y Mas units, respectively. Initiative Media, a unit of the Interpublic Group, was the incumbent.

StarLink is a unit that works with small agencies, specializing in business-to-business and technology accounts.

The company last month awarded creative duties on its account to Publicis Groupe siblings Leo Burnett (and its b-to- and tech unit LB Works) and Frankel.
