CHICAGO–Staples awarded broadcast creative duties on its $70 million account to Martin/Williams following a review, a client representative confirmed.

The Minneapolis agency bested Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, Wieden + Kennedy in New York and The Martin Agency in Richmond, Va. Incumbent Cliff Freeman and Partners in New York, which held the account for eight years, did not defend. Consultancy Select Resources International in West Hollywood, Calif., handled the search.
