NEW YORK Spalding plans to use the NBA All-Star Game to garner national support for its new Never Flat basketball, touted “to maintain ‘perfect’ air pressure and stay inflated 10 times longer than traditional basketballs.”

A 30-second TV spot, via Winstanley, Lenox, Mass., will feature Spalding pitchman Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics taking viewers “inside a basketball.” The spot will break during the National Basketball Association’s All-Star weekend, Feb. 17-20, on TNT, which is airing the game on Feb.
