Soto Returns to Goodby, Silverstein

SAN FRANCISCO — Jon Soto, a veteran of the Levi’s and Sony PlayStation accounts at TBWA/Chiat/Day here, has returned to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners as an associate creative director.

During his previous stint at Goodby, Soto won the Cannes Grand Prix for a Nike skateboarding campaign and also worked with such clients as Umbro, Dreyer?s, and Budweiser. Soto will again team with Al Kelly at Goodby.

“It feels right to be back,” Soto said. “I?m especially excited to work with Al again. It?s rare when you find a partner with the same rhythm as yourself. I think I did some of my best work here, and the vibe of the place has always been really friendly and warm.”

Agency co-chairman Rich Silverstein was happy to hear of Soto’s return. “Jon
is sensitive, funny, and extremely talented as a maker of unique work,” he said. “He?s a wonderful person to have around.”

It could not be immediately learned who will replace Soto at Chiat, where he worked as a creative director under Chuck McBride.
