Can deep learning give us any insight into what makes the perfect meal?

Researchers at Sony and Korea University are the latest to put this question to the test with a new AI system that pairs ingredients based on molecular composition and millions of recipes.

Their ingredient mapping tool is called “FlavorGraph,” and it’s trained on more than 1,500 flavor molecules as well as recipe data with examples of how chefs have combined foods in the past.
