IPG said last week that Tim Sompolski has joined as evp and chief human resources officer. Reporting to CEO David Bell, Sompolski succeeds Brian Brooks, who shifted to a consulting role in February. Sompolski had been with Altria Group, where he was svp of human resources and administration for six years until he left in January 2003.
