Direct-response specialist Bennett Kuhn Varner has appointed Danny Snyder chief creative officer.

Snyder, 55, ar-rives in Atlanta from Dallas, where he served as executive creative director at DDB Direct.

“Danny brings big-league creative talent and exceptional marketing knowledge,” said BKV president Brent Kuhn.

Snyder spent 15 years at DDB. Previously, he was a creative director at Bozell & Jacobs Direct, also in Dallas. His brand experience includes IBM, American Airlines, Pepsi, Blockbuster and Frito-Lay.

Snyder arrives at BKV at a time when advertisers, pressured by the economic downturn, are increasingly turning to direct mail and telemarketing for quick, quantifiable bottom-line impact.

“Clients want accountability,” said Snyder “They’re spending millions and aren’t sure whether they’regetting the biggest bang for those dollars.
