Snickers’ live Super Bowl ad was far from an unqualified success, largely because of the confusing nature of its intentional failure. But the Mars candy brand and agency BBDO New York are continuing the general strategy—of people screwing up because they’re hungry—in a pair of new 30-second spots.

The commercials are set in a hospital and in a TV news studio, where workers are suffering the deleterious effects of not eating a Snickers. The surgeon spot is the better of the two, with its anatomical humor feeling quite a bit like that of Mars sibling Skittles.
