Not having health insurance can mean taking a big financial hit for even minor medical procedures. That’s the theme of Aflac’s current advertising strategy, and of its pre-Super Bowl spot, which will air after the National Anthem and before the Big Game on Fox.

In the 30-second ad created by Publicis Seattle with placement by Mediavest|Spark, a patient is getting ready for surgery. But because he doesn’t have Aflac’s insurance, the surgeon tells him she’s not only going to remove his gallbladder, but also take away his prized ’67 Corvette.
