SicolaMartin has been awarded the integrated marketing account of Motion Computing.

There was an “informal” review, according to the agency. Billings are undisclosed.

The Austin, Texas, shop is the first to be hired by Motion Computing, which was formed in August 2001. The company manufactures mobile computing products.

SicolaMartin will market the Austin-based client’s first product, the Tablet PC. The legal-pad-size portable computer allows users to create handwritten documents using “electronic ink,” among other tasks. It will be available later this year and will use a special version of Microsoft’s Windows XP.

Marketing will be timed to correspond with the product launch in the fourth quarter of 2002.

Lloyd Sheep, vice president of client services at SicolaMartin, said direct marketing, online and print are among the media being considered.
