Electronics manufacturer Sharp recently expanded its environmental recycling program to more than 300 sites nationwide.

The expansion consisted of more than 30 new Southeast locations being added in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Drop-off sites are free to consumers, who can hand in used Sharp televisions, audio and video products for recycling. Toshiba and Panasonic products also will be accepted at these locations.

“As a manufacturer of consumer electronics products, an important way for Sharp to reduce its impact on the environment is to provide a simple and no-cost way for consumers to dispose of their unwanted electronics in an environmentally sound manner,” said Stewart Mitchell, Sharp Electronics svp and chief strategy officer, in a statement.
