LOS ANGELES Three San Francisco shops are gearing up for final presentations in the $5 million creative and media review for Diamond of California, the cooperative of 1,900 walnut growers, the client confirmed.

The finalists—WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson and Omnicom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners—emerged after the Stockton, Calif.-based client visited six Bay Area contenders last month. Not advancing were Interpublic’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Havas’ Black Rocket Euro RSCG and Venables, Bell & Partners, all in San Francisco.
