The U.S. Senate last week approved a resolution to repeal the FCC’s decision to overhaul media-ownership rules. With that initiative, the Senate joins the House of Representatives, which in July moved to block the FCC’s decision to allow media owners to amass properties that reach 45 percent of the country, raising the existing cap of 35 percent. The White House has threatened to veto any attempt to undo the FCC’s reforms.
